| Trastevere Night Walk ( from
may 15th 2005 ) |
 |
| Come with Best of Rome Tours to
one of the most important areas of the Eternal City, Trastevere.
( Literally translated: Across the river ). Visit an
enchanting section of Rome rarely explored by other travelers.
Trastevere is a neighborhood dating back to the 3rd cent. B.C.
and was reconstructed in the 12th cent. A.D. In Trastevere,
little has changed. Best of Rome’s guides take you to
Gianicolo hill for a glass or two of wine and the best views
the city has to offer. After a brief history lesson of the Italian
unification we will take a casual stroll through the narrow
and charming streets of this medieval part of Rome. We shall
stop for dinner in one of Trastevere’s many authentic
Italian restaurants and continue on to some of the most important
squares in Rome. |
